Эссе: Preparing for holidays is more fun than celebrating them

Most people find celebrating holidays extremely enjoyable. However, others like preparing for the celebrations more. I would like to express my point of view on the subject.

In my opinion, celebrating holidays is more exciting than preparing for festivities. First, most celebrations include eating a lot of delicious food, such as fruit, salads, sweets and cakes. Eating tasty dishes is always nice. Second, while holiday preparations are usually a boring routine, there are many ways to have fun when celebrating. Moreover, sometimes holidays also include different unusual traditions, so most festivities will keep you entertained. Even if you are celebrating a holiday with no traditions linked to it, you can enjoy yourself by dancing, listening to music and talking to people around you.

However, some people argue that holiday preparations are better and more pleasant than the holidays themselves.

They insist that preparations are more joyful because they let you spend time making something good and special together with your loved ones.

I cannot agree with this opinion fully. Decorating and cooking with your friends and family may be great, but it also takes plenty of time, money and effort. Some preparations might leave you impoverished or make you so exhausted you lose interest in participating in the festivity.

In conclusion, there are different opinions on the subject. Personally, I think that celebrating a holiday is usually more enjoyable and fun than preparing for it.
