Nowadays focusing on fashion is becoming a burning issue. Some people say that it makes us invest all of our money and time in the latest trends, while others claim that looking smart сan benefit us. Personally, I think that following trends has a number of significant advantages. Firstly, fashion makes a positive difference to our confidence. Those who take pride in their appearance tend to be self-possessed and feel comfortable in any situation. Secondly, people judge others by the way the look. Therefore, a good-looking job applicant is more likely to make a positive impression on employers and occupy a prestigious working position. However, there is an opinion that fashion does more harm than good. Since most fashionable clothing items are extremely expensive, people risk getting broke and running into debt. Also, it kills much time. Instead of getting some work done, one chooses to screw around in a shopping centre. Despite this, I disagree because following fashion does not necessarily mean that you have to spend all of your money on clothes. Besides, you can make a bargain and buy stylish items on sale. Moreover, when people go shopping for the latest trends, they can meet up with their families and relax. So, they do not just kill their time and do anything useful. In conclusion, although some people believe that fashion is a waste of time and money, I am inclined to say that being stylish and trendy can change our lives for the better.
