Эссе: Reading adventure stories - a waste of time?

There is no doubt that all people in the world have different tastes and preferences. Some people claim that detective stories take a lot of time and do not lead to anything good. While others argue that in such a story you can find something for yourself. In this essay, I will try to express my own opinion on the issue. Personally, I think that detective stories can open new secret qualities of a person and develop a brain. There are some arguments to support my point of view. Firstly, every detective story has a riddle. So a person will be interested in finding new clues and it will help him to survive in real life too. Moreover, a person will try to imitate his beloved hero and his life will not be so boring and monochromatic. However, some people think that such stories take time away from the really important things. In their view, more effective will be to read a business book than some stupid detective. First of all, you will not find the core values of life there because more attention is focused on murder and crime. Moreover, these stories are made up and a person may feel upset when he realizes that this does not happen in real life. I cannot agree with the above opinion. I am convinced that everyone should read a detective story at least once in their life just to try. It can help you discover new abilities in your mind. In conclusion, I would like to say a good proverb ' every man to his own taste'. It means that you do not have to say that something you do not like is a waste of time.
